Describe Your Pet’s Symptoms
The VetTriage doctor will ask about your pet’s condition, behavior, and recent changes in activity or appetite.
Receive a Professional Assessment
Based on the exam, the VetTriage veterinarian will determine if your pet needs immediate emergency care or if their condition can be safely managed at home until regular hours.
Get Next-Step Guidance
If urgent treatment is necessary, VetTriage will coordinate with Snake River Veterinary Center’s on-call veterinarian (available Monday–Friday, 5:30–8:00 PM) or refer you to the nearest 24-hour emergency facility.

VetTriage doctors are independent licensed veterinarians, not Snake River Veterinary Center doctors, but they can coordinate with our team when appropriate.
Our veterinarians may accept after-hours calls coordinated by VetTriage Monday–Friday from 5:30–8:00 PM, depending on availability.
After 8:00 PM or on weekends, VetTriage will refer you directly to Viking Veterinary Hospital or WestVet Emergency Center for immediate care.
This process ensures that every pet owner receives fast, expert advice without unnecessary panic, cost, or travel — and that true emergencies receive the care they need immediately.
